Theatre Boost User Agreement
1. Acceptance of Terms
By creating an account on Theatre Boost ("the Platform"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, you may not use the Platform.
2. Account Registration and Identity
You must provide accurate information when creating an account. You are responsible for safeguarding your password and for all activities that occur under your account.
3. Marketplace and Royalties (The "Payment Engine")
Theatre Boost acts as a marketplace connecting Playwrights with Theatre Companies.
* For Playwrights: By uploading your scripts, you grant Theatre Boost the right to display and facilitate the licensing of your work. You retain all underlying copyrights to your intellectual property. You agree that Theatre Boost will deduct a platform service fee from any production royalties paid by a Theatre Company prior to disbursing the remainder to your designated payment account.
* For Theatre Companies: By submitting a production request and subsequently paying a royalty, you are granted a limited license to produce the script according to the terms specified by the Playwright.
4. Payment Processing and Taxes
All financial transactions are processed securely via third-party providers (e.g., PayPal). Theatre Boost is not responsible for errors made by the payment processor. Users are solely responsible for declaring and paying any applicable local, state, or federal taxes on royalties earned through the Platform.
5. Code of Conduct and Termination
You agree not to distribute malicious code, infringe on intellectual property, or engage in abusive behavior. Theatre Boost reserves the right to suspend or terminate any account, at our sole discretion, without prior notice, for violations of these terms.
